Princeton Application 2026

Concerto for Two Violins and Viola (2025)

Ensemble: Three soloists with chamber orchestra: two oboes, two horns, strings

Duration: 21’, three movements

Commissioned: by the New York Classical Players in celebration of 15 years and premiered in 4 concerts in and around NYC

Rompus (2025)

Ensemble: violin and piano

Duration: 3’30’’

Co-written and performed with Will Healy, pianist, as Upstream

Upstream is duo project with Will Healy. The pieces are all co-written. Rompus is the first single from our upcoming album. The live “full set” below gives a sense of our pieces’ range.

I am proud of the variety in these tracks: of mood and texture, but also of structure. Some are simple song forms (E tune), some are more involved (Let The Record Show, Good For You), and some are somewhere in between (For Jason, Wednesday Will).

In The Wild (2025)

Ensemble: String Orchestra

Duration: 5’

Commissioned: by the US Army Strings for their 75th Anniversary Celebration concerts at the Kennedy Center and at Georgetown University

The Strings’ hope was for something overtly fiddle-adjacent, and I was glad to have a chance to experiment with ways of producing rhythmic drive in the bow in the context of the group’s overall classical bent.

Five Fiddle Tunes (2025)

My arrangements of fiddle tunes for the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra from September.

Ensemble: Solo fiddle with orchestra (2.2.2.2 - 2.2.2.0 - strings)

Duration: 16’

These are my arrangements, not my compositions. They were nonetheless a useful data point as I learn more about approximating non-classical rhythm in an orchestral setting.
